  2. I've learned most of these things throughout the past 12 years of my education. Every teacher is different, but it is best to follow these rules to not upset the teacher.

  3. This article was very useful is helping us students understand was is expected out of us in our FYS class. Many of these rules stated have been implied for the classes I have taken over the years. It is good to know these rules and expectations so to help prevent future problems in class.

  4. Every teacher does earn respect for what they are doing. I couldnt imagine being a teacher and having to deal with us crazy people. This article states very important things that I will put into use. The one pet peeve that stood out the most was packing up their stuff before the class is over completely. It is good to get a teachers point of view on these matters.

  6. This article gives us students an understanding what the teachers expect out of their class. Most of my teachers in the past have really nailed these rules onto us students. I believe these expectations should be implied in all classes.

  7. I knew a lot of these things going in high school and coming into college. I do think, though, on #6 (grade grubbing) it is fine ONLY if you give a reasonable explanation. It isn't acceptable if you go in and just say "I need a better grade" or "I need a few more points for an A+, A, B+, etc"

  8. I also think that this is all stuff that I know and hope that everyone else knows but it is still good to to be reminded every once in a while on how we should act and in what manner we should carry ourselves.

  10. I agree with Ryne, everyone has explained it well. Just get to know the professor, and know what they expect.
